Man is accused of killing partner

A 46-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his partner, who is believed to have been struck on the head with a TV remote control during a row.

American Gloria Laguna, 48, was found in the flat she shared with Paul Harvey in Hillwood House, Polygon Road, Euston, by ambulance crews last Saturday night.
She died at UCL hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Electrical engineer Mr Harvey was charged with murder at Westminster Magistrates Court on Saturday, a week after the death. A post mortem found examination found Ms Laguna had died of a trauma to the back of the head.
An inquest was opened at St Pancras Coroner’s Court on Thursday.
