Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 2 April 2009

Charged for being offline

• I AM furious with a letter I got from Virgin Media advising me that, as from May 1, they are going green and for the pleasure of that, we have to pay £1.25 extra for paper bills or go online.
I am a pensioner and I don’t want to go online or have a computer and I feel that myself and other pensioners are being penalised for this.
Also I get an extra charge, would you believe, for paying my bill on time or even earlier, as I pay by cash or cheque into my bank and for that there is an administration charge!
I am writing to Richard Branson to see what he has to say about us having to pay £1.25 for paper bills.
