Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 26 March 2009

Trained to stay closed

• TUESDAY March 31 will be a “no library” day in Camden.
All will be closed. This is now an annual event, a training day or something. Newspapers will be published, but access to them will be denied. Part of the library function is to provide a paper and magazine reading room.
Students studying for exams will be penalised.
Management need to realise they are paid to keep the service open and find another way to train staff. Opening hours have been extended. Perhaps the library supremo Councillor Flick Rea will tell them to drop any future day closures.
