Women’s Football

London County Cup
Arsenal 3, West Ham 0

ARSENAL Ladies will take on rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday for a place in the London County Cup final.
The Gunners booked their place in the final four with a convincing win over West Ham. Abbie Prosser steered Jadine Madden’s low cross home to open the scoring on the stroke of half-time.
After the break, Gemma Davison doubled the advantage before Gilly Flaherty fired home from the spot to seal the victory.

SE Combination League
Gillingham 1, Spurs 2

SPURS netted a much needed victory over fellow strugglers Gillingham on Tuesday.
Having twice seen the home side hit the woodwork, Spurs took the lead just before the break when Ebony Heath headed in from close range.
The goal sparked Tottenham into life and they doubled their advantage early in the second-half when Kirsten Thomson hit the net with a stunning half-volley.
Gillingham pulled a goal back late on, but Spurs held on to take a vital three points back to north London.
There was further good news for Spurs after it was announced that the two relegation spots are likely to be filled by Bedford Town and Whitehawk, who have both withdrawn from the league.
