Joan’s bite

• IT was interesting to see in Ruth Gorb’s article how busy Dame Joan Bakewell has been recently (March 5).
An article in the National Pensioners Convention magazine reports that since her appointment, the NPC has contacted her twice but her other diary commitments make it impossible for her to discuss her views on pensions, care and other important topics with them. Has she bitten off more than she can chew?
