Swimmers in gold medal mood

IT was medal mania for members from Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club at the weekend when they scooped a whooping 60 accolades at the Middlesex County Championships.
The triumphant team brought home 18 golds, 21 silvers and 21 bronze medals from the competition at the Southbury Road pool in Enfield.
Talented trio Sophie Rittenhouse, Naomi Wakeham-Aredes and Harry Needs were among the headliners after winning four medals each.
Golden boy Harry showed off his speed over 50 metres as he won his butterfly, backstroke and freestyle events, before taking silver in the 50m breaststroke.
Naomi won gold in her 50m breaststroke and 800m freestyle races, and took silver in her 50m freestyle and butterfly sprints.
Meanwhile starlet Sophie (pictured) won gold in the 50m backstroke and bronze in the 50m fly, before displaying great endurance to take silver in the 1500m freestyle and a second bronze in the 800m freestyle.
The Camden contingent continued to dominate the winners’ podium with Felix Samuels, Kelly Hookway, Yohann Panthakee and Jessica Hobbs all putting in perfect pool performances to win three medals each.
Meanwhile Robin Neumann, Tamsin McKinnon, Devon Robins, Ed Walsh, Alexander Burgess and Alex Peake continued the gold rush with a series of stunning first places.
Indigo Mathews, Isabelle Matthews, Katharine Spooner, Sarah Taylor-Reid, Reut Benaim, Camilla Grossman, Bogac Ayhan, Leo Jaggs, Iao Pok Wong, Liam Coyle, Joel Sands, Lucas Perry-Hill, Iyla Skliarov, Andy Hardt, William Rittenhouse, Rory McKinnon and Archie Moat also all returned home with trophies after securing top three placings.
