Lock-out

• I READ Dr Jane Ennis’s letter with dismay (February 12). I knew the council’s policy to charge people who lock themselves out of their homes, but did not realise it applied to those who are disabled and on benefits. It is even more shocking that this money had to be paid up front before anybody would even come to help her.
