Rosary unrefurbished
• AS a pupil of the Rosary Primary School I am appalled, by the manner in which Camden Council are dealing with the refurbishment of my school.
The reception children are being forced to work in portacabins unsuitable for education, the special needs room has been moved to the library and consequently has stopped its use as a library, but, worst of all, it prevents junior children from even running, let alone playing football, basketball and other such sports in the cramped upper playground due to the portacabins.
And what are the school doing about this, you ask? They have secured funding from other sources. However, they cannot get funding from Camden Council, the one source that they relied on. We are told we shall have to wait five years until the next funding round.
My sister – also at the school – turned seven this week and if five years is the case she will never be able to use adequate play facilities while she is at the school.
My friends and I are adamant that Camden Council should provide funding so that we can play freely once more.
