Death shocks workers

A SHELF-STACKER at a Kentish Town supermarket died suddenly from heart failure, aged 25, an inquest has heard.
Hassan Mohamed, who worked at Iceland in Kentish Town Road, died at a friend’s home in St Martin’s Close, Camden Town, in September last year. He had been staying with his friend during Ramadan and had woken several times in the night to pray.
Mr Mohamed, from Somalia, was later discovered lying on his side with his eyes open, breathing heavily. He died at University College London Hospital in Bloomsbury.
On Tuesday, St Pancras coroner Dr Andrew Reid recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
Mr Mohamed lived in south London with his wife, Maimuna Hassan. Work colleagues were shocked by the death. Iceland manager Ben McCaulay described Mr Mohamed as a “quiet, polite gentleman”.
