Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 15 January 2009

Big Brother?

• IS Big Brother watching and listening?
Sinister new devices are going up all over Camden in Red Lion Square and Camden Market, making the place look more and more like a George Orwell film set.
One escapes from the computer, that can be hacked into by the police, and one’s home, that may now be bust into by bailiffs with “reasonable restraint”, only to be watched at every corner by cameras on poles covered in knobbly black paint.
This may all have a damaging effect on the feeling of general wellbeing.
Nicholas Wood
South Hill Park Gardens, NW3
