Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 15 January 2009

No points for baby

• WE read with interest the article “Meet the family of six struggling to breathe in a two-bedroom flat” (January 8).
In November 2000 we moved into our small Kentish Town bedsit where we’ve lived ever since. In March 2008 our son was born and we duly notified the council and were shocked to learn that we would receive no extra points: we would be treated exactly the same with or without a child.
Even worse, we were told we would receive no points until our child was five years old.
