Islington Midweek Football League

CENTRE-BACK Ricky Rose netted the winner as CamSom continued their push for glory in Division Two of the Islington Midweek League on Monday.
The goalscoring hero headed home a corner on the hour mark to help seal a 2-1 win over Unity FC at Market Road.
Rose, 17, said after the game: “It was a great result for us. Having not played for almost a month because of the winter break, the win is a testament to how well we play together as a team.”
CamSom, a team name highlighting the fact that all the players come from either Camden or Somers Town, dominated the first half and took the lead when Salah Salah, 19, scored from close range.
Man-of-the match Rose doubled the advantage with a powerful header, before Unity scored a late consolation.
