Hampstead bid fond footballing farewell to their American hero

HAMPSTEAD hero Charlie Sears was given a footballing farewell when he took part in a special friendly match at the Talacre Sports Centre in Kentish Town.
The talented youngster , who returns home to America this week, stepped out onto the pitch one last time with his friends from the club for a final match against Team USA.
Afterwards Charlie, who caught the eye after joining the Hampstead Academy, was presented with a shirt and a team photo signed by his under-8s team-mates.
Coach Tracy Dowsett said: “Charlie will be greatly missed – it has been a real pleasure having him play for us.
“Everyone would like to wish him and his family the best of luck in the future.”
