Å choir of little angels sparkle with Christmas spirit at St Alban’s primary school
Surprise! All smiles for the cameraman at St Albans

HE came, he came – he actually came.
A primary school which hasn’t been seen on the New Journal’s annual nativity noticeboard for years was delighted to finally see a newspaper photographer walk through the door on Thursday afternoon to capture the magic of its Christmas show.
Right in the southern tip of the borough, St Albans Primary School might be on the fringe of the borough in Holborn but considers itself just as much part of Camden’s family primary schools as all the others.
So this year we made a special effort to make sure the children at the Holborn School did not miss out. The receptionist could hardly believe her eyes when photographer Steve Barnett knocked on the door. So Merry Christmas St Albans – here’s a few snaps of the festive fun to remind everyone down there they aren’t forgotten.
The New Journal works hard to get to as many schools as possible but due to the sheer number and timetable clashes we can’t include every school every year. We do, however, send our best wishes to all the little actors and actresses in shows across the borough.
