Rumour mongers unfair to Fabregas

SO, another story linking Cesc Fabregas with a move away from Arsenal.

This week it was AC Milan’s turn, but the rumour came and went just like all the others.
It seems that people are unable to accept his loyalty to the club. They just don’t understand, however easy it may be, that Fabregas actually wants to stay at Arsenal. Can a player not compliment another team’s style of play without having a judgmental finger pointed in his direction?
I understand that sometimes when a player, let’s say Cristiano Ronaldo for example, praises a team that he holds high admiration for, like Real Madrid for instance, it can mean that he wants to play for them.
But not all players are like that, and there are footballers out there who understand the art of loyalty. These are the ones who play for the shirt, for the team and most importantly, for the fans who are for ever faithful and constantly show up to voice their support for the club they love.
The people who pass judgment should be more like these understanding, faithful fans who don’t always jump to conclusions when they hear a gracious comment like the one given to AC Milan by the new Arsenal captain, because it doesn’t always mean that he wants to leave.
Well, for the most part anyway.

Thrown to the lions

THE Arsenal supporters disgusting treatment of Emmanuel Eboue on Saturday was like the crowds in the Colosseum in Rome when the gladiators used to fight the lions.

The fans should have directed their anger towards Arsene Wenger. Eboue has not been up to it for the last two seasons but Wenger is too obdurate to admit this.
To see a young man humiliated like this because of his manager’s inability to act decisively was appalling.
