Sounds crazy, no? Fiddler lights up the stage at Haverstock school

TSARIST Russia came alive at Haverstock school this week as drama pupils staged Fiddler of the Roof, the classic musical.
Leads Billy Conde-Marcos and Tamara Aherne were backed by the Haverstock’s orchestra and cast members from across the school.
As part of the stage design – put together by the school’s art department – the classic Marc Chagall painting, The Fiddler, said to have inspired the show written by Jerry Bock and first performed on Broadway in 1964, took pride of place.
Drama teacher Odette Cohen said: “We’ve been working on this since September and so many people have been involved to help make it a success.”
