Different class: Pupils, teachers cash in

STUDENTS and teachers at Camden’s secondary schools who are worth their weight in gold received cash rewards for their achievements last week, writes Simon Wroe.
More than 100 pupils and staff across the borough scooped prizes of up to £1,000 for their inspirational contributions to education.
The Jack Petchey Achievement Awards gave young people grants of £300 to spend on a school or community project of their choice.
Motivational staff each got £1,000 grants at the Camden Centre event.
Mayor of Camden Nurul Islam, presenting the awards, highlighted the importance of “encouraging our young people to take these opportunities and recognise their achievements”.
