Superman sought over Halloween assault

IT was contaminated Kryptonite that turned the Man of Steel bad in Superman III, prompting a spate of unheroic thuggery.
But strong lager seems a more likely explanation for the activities of a man in a Superman outfit who, supported by two superhero friends, launched an attack on Halloween revellers in Camden Town.
The assault in Camden Road in the early hours of November 1 left two 21-year-old men with bruises. A Met spokesman described the incident: “Suspect One, dressed in a Superman outfit, lunged and kicked at one of the victims, who fell to the ground. Two of the victim’s friends stood in between the victim and Suspect One and were then punched and kicked themselves.” The men fled on foot along Camden Road. Detectives have asked witnesses to call 020 74041212.
The attack formed part of a worldwide crime wave by the man in blue and red. The New York Daily Times reported a Halloween robbery in the city’s Nassau district, again by three superheroes.
