Dancing for joy: Sam Garner scores for Spurs
Sam’s Sunday stroll sees Spurs secure cup success

Women’s FA Cup
Spurs 3, Oxford City 1

SPURS took a welcome break from their league troubles on Sunday to net a convincing win over Oxford in the opening round of the FA Cup.
Gill Blackmore fired the north Londoners into an early lead after Sam Garner’s cross was fumbled in the six-yard box.
Oxford equalised with a speculative free-kick, but Tottenham hit back to seal a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Nichola Cable and Garner.

League Cup
Leicester 0, Arsenal 7

STRIKER Julie Fleeting scored a superb hat-trick against Leicester on Sunday as Arsenal Ladies strolled through to the semi-final of the cup.
Goals from Rachel Yankey, Kelly Smith, Ciara Grant and an own-goal completed the rout for the Gunners, who now face London rivals Chelsea in the final four. Fleeting was also on target on Sunday to help give Arsenal a slender first-leg lead against Swedish champions Umea in the UEFA Women’s Cup. Jayne Ludlow and Kim Little were also on target in a thrilling 3-2 victory.

Greater London League
Division Two North
Camden Town 6, Garston 0

LEADING scorer Mary Guest took her personal goal tally into double figures on Sunday with a stunning hat-trick at Regent’s Park.
Megan Worthing-Davies fired Town into an early lead before Guest doubled the advantage with a composed finish. The visitors pulled a goal back and were only denied an equaliser thanks to a string of fine saves from Camden keeper Karleigh Healey.
In the second-half, Guest completed her hat-trick to take her tally to 11 goals this season. Suran Dickson and Caroline Taunton also got among the goals as Camden ran out 6-2 winners.

Katabella 8, Hackney 0

THE Kats secured their third win of the season on Sunday with a resounding win over Hackney.
Two goals from winger Ewa Holender gave Katabella a comfortable lead at the break. In the second-half the Camden-based Kats ran riot, with Chelsea Berlin and Franziska John netting two goals apiece, while Jen Coupland and Tamar Koch also scored.

Home Counties League

SHARP-SHOOTER Lois Joel hit four goals to lead Hampstead to a 4-1 win over the Tottenham ‘A’ team on Saturday in the Under-10s Division.
Meanwhile player-of-the-match Louise Bennet scored a super double as Hampstead’s under-13s beat Harpenden. Kirsten Sorbie, Rachel Corrigan and Missy Robinson were also all on target as Hampstead won 5-0.
