Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 13 November 2008

Eye contact on buses

• AT a meeting of the Swiss Cottage area forum, attended by an officer from Transport for London, the issue of the treatment of passengers on London buses was discussed.
A local resident observed that, unlike in London, passengers in Paris greeted the driver on boarding the buses and eye contact was made.
She suggested that if such contact was made in London more often the effect of such interaction would be to improve the whole experience for both driver and passengers.
Wise words and a reminder to us all.
Cllr Roger Freeman
Chairman
Development Control Committee
