Ambassador turns mentor

LIVELY Lucy Nicholas is relishing her new role as a mentor to Camden’s next youth ambassadors.
The enthusiastic 16-year-old, who lives in Kentish Town, clocked almost 400 hours of volunteer work throughout the past year as she fulfilled her duties as the borough’s Sports Ambassador.
Among her responsibilities was teaching youngsters about teamwork and healthy eating, along with getting them more involved with the 2012 Olympics.
Lucy (pictured left) is ready to guide Camden’s next sporting leaders in their bid for success.
She said: “I’m really looking forward to the new challenge. I loved my time as a sports ambassador, but now I’m ready to hand over the mantle to the new recruits.
“It’s daunting having to help teach someone who is in the same age bracket as me, but I’m sure that with the love of sport that we share, we’ll make it a success.”
