Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 23 October 2008

Bridge for Hogwart’s under threat

LATE last week, while walking down platform 8 at King’s Cross, I noticed a large amount of scaffolding been put around the footbridge that runs from half-way up platform 8 to platform 1.
I asked a member of the station staff what was happening.
They told me that it was believed by the station staff that the whole bridge was been sold to someone who was going to export the bridge to the United States owing to its Harry Potter connections.
They personally were not happy with this as they felt that the bridge was an integral part of the station which, itself, is a listed building.
They also felt that although the King’s Cross station staff knew about this development none had been told officially and they felt that whoever was behind this was trying to do it without raising any concerns or publicity that might put a block on this.
