Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 16 October 2008

Councillor of old school

• I WAS so saddened to read of the death of Kenneth Avery, former Tory councillor on Camden Council.
I had the pleasure of serving with him for many years; he was an excellent and dedicated council member and served his constituents so well. Despite our political differences we got on well on many projects and issues before Camden Council and I was sorry when he departed for Canterbury eventually. Kenneth was a councillor of the old school. He cared for Camden and for his ward, Brunswick, and my thoughts are with his family and friends.
May he rest in peace and, Kenneth, many thanks for your friendship and for your work as a councillor.
CLLR ROGER ROBINSON
Labour, St Pancras and Somers Town ward
