Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 2 October 2008

Our ‘house’

• THE article (Open house, through the front door, September 18) refers to “Open House weekend”, but attributes this event to the Royal Institute of British Architects! Come on!
Do you not know that the London Open House weekend is nothing to do with the RIBA, but is organised by the architectural education charity Open House – and has been for the past 16 years .
It is Open House that organises the opening of buildings throughout London for a weekend in mid-September, every year, always free, and co-ordinates the hundreds of building owners, and thousands of building volunteers, as well as running year-round architectural education programmes for schools and local authority councillors.
If you – and readers – want to know more, see: www.openhouse.org.uk
