Teen was attacked after car overturned

A TEENAGER was stabbed and attacked with a baseball bat by two men who emerged from a car that had just flipped over.
The 19-year-old, who remains in hospital, was assaulted in the early hours of Friday in Swiss Cottage.
Detectives are questioning businesses along Finchley Road about the confrontation and believe the victim may have been an innocent bystander.
He had staggered to the junction’s central reservation before a passing private ambulance found him at 1.10am.
Officers say the chaos may have begun with an argument between two groups of men outside a branch of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
A silver Volkswagen Polo drove at one group of men but overturned and screeched to a halt.
Detective Constable Tom Moriarty said: “The silver car overturned, and a black car was present.
“The victim came out of [all-night grocer] Foodlink and heard a big bang.
“He turned to see what it was, and we believe he’s been assaulted by two people.
“At the moment we believe that he is the victim of mistaken identity.”
DC Moriarty said Swiss Cottage was busy at the time and asked witnesses to come forward.
One man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail.
Anyone with information should call Camden police on 020 7404 1212.
