Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 18 September 2008

Anyone for nude tennis?

• IN reaction to the territorial claims made by the nudist battalion (Forum, September 11), being a regular swimmer, I avoid going to the Men’s Pond on a hot day, after having been followed and harassed by men who obviously weren’t there for the swimming.
I don’t mind nudism on a never-ending beach in Bretagne, but I don’t come to the Pond to tread over a floor of sizzling naked bodies. And I certainly wouldn’t bring my son.
Has anyone considered a nude tennis court? A nude tea-room at Kenwood?
I can’t imagine what the reaction would be to that…
Let’s keep swimming on top of the agenda at the Men’s Pond.
Olivier Nilsson-Julien, Kentish Town
