Cyclists’ plea on bus lanes

CAMDEN cycling campaigners begged council chiefs to resist plans to allow motorcycles in bus lanes on Monday. Campaign chairwoman Jean Dollimore said: “We believe that allowing motorcycles into the bus lanes will be detrimental. Cyclists like to use bus lanes as a refuge from the other trafffic.” The bus lane plan is being pushed by City Hall after it was a campaign issue for mayor Boris Johnson.
