Triathletes end season on a high

TRIATHLETES Alice Keane, Misha Newman and Mason Baylis signed off their season in style on Saturday when they represented London in the Inter Regional Championships at Aldershot.
Keane, who lives in Kentish Town, put in a spirited performance to finish the race as London’s top girl in the 15 to 16 age category.
The 16-year-old Camden School for Girls pupil completed a 400m swim in six minutes, 39 seconds, followed by a 200-minute bike circuit and a 13-minute run to finish 13th.
Camden team-mate Baylis, 12, also just missed out on a top 10 finish when he took 11th place in the boys’ under-13s age group. He completed a 200m swim in 3.42, a 6.4-kilometre bike course in 13.24 and finished a gruelling 1800m run in 7.32.
Misha Newman, who lives in Swiss Cottage, finished 28th in the boys’ 15 to 16 category after fading towards the end of a high-standard race.
