Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 28 August 2008

Crime-free hot-spot

THE crime map shows West Hampstead as a hot-spot but your report highlights a short stretch of Finchley Road, which is hardly representative of West Hampstead (Met’s new crime map reveals hot-spots, August 21).
I’ve lived here for 30 years and, apart from a few months when there were problems in Broadhurst Gardens, have only seen three car windscreens smashed (and one of those was pure vandalism, because there was nothing in the car to be taken) and heard of one mugging.
West Hampstead a crime hot-spot? I don’t think so!
