North Middlesex ‘high-five’ it as national champions
YOUNGSTERS from North Middlesex Cricket Club emerged as kings of England, Scotland and Wales on Friday when they won the Under-13s National Championships. Made up of players from across Camden and Islington, the triumphant team won all five of their matches to capture the prestigious Ken Barrington Trophy.
Despite finishing level on points with rivals Yately from Hampshire, North Middlesex took top spot courtesy of their superior run-rate.
North Middlesex Under-13s squad: Zulfiqar Azom (captain), Connor Nurse, Charlie Yorke-Starkey, Kyle Pittman, Arjun Gole, William Armstrong-Fox, Arthur Lewis, Oliver Turrell, Nick Friend, William Cracknell, Joe Cracknell, Mathew Cracknell, Joe Bridgland and Charlie Hierons, and coaches Mark Pittman, Steve Nurse, Tarun Nethula and Jake Pittman.
