Fencers win European accolade

MEMBERS of Camden Fencing Club are celebrating after one of its major tournaments was named as an official event on the Cadet Circuit.
The Camden International Cadet Sabre Tournament will be the only competition in Britain accredited on the European Fencing Confederation Cadet Circuit.
The tournament, which offers individual and team events for both boys and girls under 17, will be sponsored by Greenwich Leisure Ltd, a leading leisure trust managing 65 sports centres in London.
The GLL Sport Foundation trust recognises and supports talented young athletes. Camden’s Curtis Miller and Soji Aiyenuro, who are also members of the National Cadet Sabre Squad, currently receive support from the foundation.
The Camden International will be held at Acland Burghley School in Tufnell Park and William Ellis in Highgate Road in February.
