Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 7 August 2008

Blood money

I WAS pleased health secretary Alan Johnson has stated that no compulsory transfer of NHS assets will be involved under Lord Darzi’s plans.
But may I expect a refund of value of the privatised element of my donation of 15 pints to the NHS over the years 1973-1982? Presumably an enhancement of the value would be required to recognise the fact that, unlike some donors, I was never a drug addict, and I wanted my blood to go to NHS patients.
D Shepherd, NW4
