Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 31 July 2008

No provision for disabled to park at the hospital

A REPORT by Sir Robert Naylor, chief executive of the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, to a meeting of the governing body on July 22 included an update on disabled car parking at the hospital – or to be more precise, the lack of such parking.
From the report’s wording it could be understood that the multi-million pound skyscraper was built without such a provision.
Did no one planning the hospital realise that many visitors to the building would be disabled (and not arriving in an ambulance) and therefore need to have a drop off close to the entrance and/or a space to park their car?
