Camden teams impress at national rounders championships

YOUNGSTERS from across the borough proved a big hit when they represented Camden at the National Rounders Championships in Northamptonshire.

Dubbed the British baseball, starlets showed off their batting and fielding skills as they went head-to-head against the best teams from across the country.
The performance of the tournament came from New End Primary School in Hampstead, who just missed out on a place in the final after narrowly losing in the semi-finals of the Year 6 and under tournament. Primrose Hill Primary School were also in action for Camden.
Meanwhile pupils from La Sainte Union and Parliament Hill School in Highgate Road and Camden School for Girls in Sandall Road combined to put in a series of creditable performances in the Year 11 and under competition.
