Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 24 July 2008

Helping Mugabe

• ROBERT Mugabe has been punished for his land reform with severe economic sanctions for nearly 10 years.

And supporting the opposition, our Eurocentric, neo-colonial approach is now urging yet more sanctions and restrictions which will affect everyone in Zimbabwe.
If Mugabe is “bringing the country to its knees”, he is getting plenty of outside help.
A recent statement by Oldie columnist, John Michelle, says it all for me: “Us British should stop telling others what to think and what to do.”
Amen to that.
