Connor County Cup star

YOUNGSTERS from North Middlesex Cricket Club were bowled over on Monday when they won the Under-13s Middlesex County Cup.
Star bowler Connor Nurse put in a player-of-the-match performance as he claimed five wickets for just 18 runs to help restrict opponents Ealing to 104-8 from their innings.
Requiring 105 from their 20 overs to win, North Middlesex openers Nurse and captain Zulfiqar Azom showed great shot selection as they built a partnership of 53.
Nurse was eventually dismissed for 24, while Azom top scored with a well-crafted 31.
Alistair Napier added a further knock of 22 to lead the Camden and Islington side to a winning score of 105-4.
North Middlesex will now take on other county winners in a knockout competition in a bid to earn a place in the Spirit of Cricket Under-13s National Championships.
