What price an eco-house?
• I READ with interest your articles on Camden Council’s sale of their larger housing stock as they do not have the money to repair them.
They do seem to have money to renovate a four-storey house in St Augustines Road into an eco house. It had been converted into flats when the tenants moved out was then left empty for about five years (in which time two groups of squatters had moved in). Work finally started in February this year and is still not finished.
I wonder how much of the money Camden gained from the sale of their other large houses is going into this one?
I’ve no problem with the fact it is being turned back into a five-bed house (these are needed), but an eco house?
