Reddot end their season with a win

CHAMPIONS Reddot enjoyed their finest hour at the weekend when they brought the curtain down on their season with a victory against Phoenix in Division One of the Camden Sunday League.
Phoenix looked to be coasting after early goals from Darren May and James Cole. But Paul Reid scored twice to take his personal tally to 32 goals for the season and bring Reddot level.
Jason Medford completed the comeback to give the Dots a 3-2 lead, but within minutes Phoenix pulled the scores level when Cole netted his second of the game.
With the game heading for a draw, Medford headed home the winner.
After the game manager Micky Dowsett was delighted with his team’s performance. He said: “It was my finest hour with Reddot. Beating Phoenix is always tough, let alone when you only have 10 players and have gone 2-0 down. It was an outstanding display, to round off an outstanding season.”
