Street fall victim died in hospital

A RETIRED security guard died after falling and hitting his head on the pavement.
Bryan Bartlett, 71, sustained head injuries in Arlington Road, Camden Town, in November last year. When paramedics arrived, Mr Bartlett, of Delancey Street, Camden Town, was coherent and said he wanted to go home.
But a St Pancras inquest was told on Thursday he later suffered a fit while at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead and never regained consciousness.
Speaking after the inquest, his sons, Anthony and Darren, described Mr Bartlett as a “well-liked man who will be badly missed”. He had worked as a security guard for doctors’ surgeries in Harley Street.
Verdict: accident.
