Snap snowfall leaves Pirates stranded in cold

IT was snow joke on Sunday when Constitution and Hornsey FC were left out in the cold at Wingate and Finchley’s Abrahams Stadium.
The Cons (nicknamed The Pirates) and their Division Two rivals were expecting to go head-to-head in the final of the Junior Cup. But players were left frozen in their tracks when they turned up to find the pitch was covered by three inches of snow following the unseasonal April weather.
Having already been postponed twice this season, cup holders Hornsey and the Cons will be hoping its third time lucky after the game was rescheduled for Sunday, May 11.

• THE Camden Sunday League is inviting new teams to join the league ahead of the coming season. For more details checkout their website: www.sundayfooty.co.uk
