Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 10 April 2008

Go green?

• FOUR times I have called Camden Council to ask for a green recycling bag so my rubbish can be recognised by local recycling trucks and collected weekly.
Twice I spoke to the same person in the environment department who assured me that a bag would be sent to me. After waiting three weeks each time, I called again. I was told by another council worker that there were no details of my request in their system.
Will I get my recycling bag? Will Camden encourage recycling by making it easier for every person to do their part to reduce our waste? We pay some of the highest council taxes in the country and should expect better service.
