Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 3 April 2008

Sssh! Quiet please!

• SKIP Murphy (Letters, March 27) is right: the open-plan Swiss Cottage children’s library which leads on to the adult lending library on the first floor is much too noisy.
One day a mother was playing hide-and-seek in the adult library with her infant and I pointed out where the children’s library was. She swore at me. The children’s library would be better situated at the back of the ground floor. It would mean that the lift would not be blocked persistently with open pushchairs and other people could use it.
The staff who are at present at the back of the ground floor could then move to the first.
