‘We’ve lost our way’ – Wenger

Gunners manager admits disappointment at league form after San Siro glory

ARSENE Wenger has admitted he is at a loss as to why his young charges are stuttering so badly in the Premier League.
The Gunners boss said it was “disappointing” that his side were scrabbling for points against lowly teams after storming the San Siro a fortnight ago.
Arsenal knocked the European champions out of the Champions League but have since surrendered top spot back in their domestic league following three successive draws.
Wenger said: “Yes it is frustrating because we have dropped points in the race for the championship. Draws when you are chasing the championship are not good enough.
“I have to say the matches we played since Milan have not been so good.”
Title rivals Manchester United and Chelsea have continued to fill their squads with proven internationals as the big spenders of English football. But Wenger has remained true to his Scrooge-like approach to transfers, and now faces criticism for his lack of spending as Arsenal struggle to deal with injuries and suspensions.
He said: “We have lost Eduardo. Van Persie is only just back and he is not fit. There is also Rosicky and Abu Diaby. People will form their own conclusions and I will have to accept they are possible because we have dropped points.”
Speaking after the draw 1-1 against Middlesbrough Wenger added: “There was a big disappointment in the dressing room. It is the flattest I have seen them after a game.
“But I feel this team fights. We came back again against ’Boro and this team will go until the end.”
