Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 13 March 2008

Health services are undermined by decision

• IT is said the decision by the Camden PCT to contract some GP services has been taken in good faith and in line with government policy, and is supposed to provide better services and value for money.
Be that as it may, the decision causes a distinct and nasty malaise in the gut, chiefly I think because health provision is one of those services that people feel should not be profit motivated, or profit generating, but also one wonders with all our talent and resources why we have not been able to resolve cost and management issues without tendering out to a foreign company.
This decision is clearly unpopular locally, and I think the members of the PCT board ought to consider whether they should continue to serve now that they may be undermining health services
