Cup hero: Reid all about it!

Man of the match takes season tally to 20 as Reddot clinch trophy

Camden Sunday League
Senior Cup Final
Reddot 4,
Cobden Athletic 1

MAN of the match Paul Reid scored a delightful double on Sunday to lead Reddot to a commanding victory over Cobden Athletic in the Senior Cup final, which was held at Wingate and Finchley’s Abrahams Stadium.
Division One leaders Cobden took the lead on 15 minutes when Robert Saint unleashed a thunderous 20-yard drive.
John Donovan levelled the scores with his 12th goal of the campaign, before leading scorer Jason Medford bundled the ball home from close range to give Reddot a 2-1 lead at the break.
The second-half belonged to Reid.
The star striker bagged a brilliant brace to lead Reddot to their eighth trophy in five years, taking his personal tally to 20 goals for the season.
Meanwhile back in the league, Surreal Madrid upset the odds in Division Two when they stormed to a resounding 3-0 win over table-toppers DOM.
Madrid put in one of their best performances of the season and took a deserved lead when Bjorn Lawton fired home on 15 minutes.
Defenders Dave Stringer and Ryan James put in an outstanding performance to protect Surreal’s slender lead.
The points were made safe thanks to clinical finishing from top scorer Al Wallwork, who scored twice in the final 15 minutes to seal the win.
