Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 31 January 2008

In concert

• ON Saturday at Rosslyn Hill Chapel I attended a most remarkable concert in aid of the Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association.
In the interval we were told that January 26 had been chosen to commemorate the murder of some Palestinian civilians in 1947.
A pity that January 27 was not also mentioned as Holocaust Memorial Day. Mentioning both commemorations would have strengthened the campaign against all violence.
Daniel Barenboim’s West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, composed of Israeli and Palestinian players, sets the right example.
