Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 31 January 2008

They’ve failed our estate

• THE Lib/Dems have been running Camden Council in coalition with the Tories for nearly two years now.
As a tenant on the Sidings estate, I haven’t seen any improvements. If anything, things have got worse. The council doesn’t listen and nothing gets done. The children’s playground is unusable and locked.
Fly-tipping on the estate is a disgrace and the land at the back of the old Maygrove Motors garage is totally neglected. We need good street lights to improve safety at night on the estate but they’re not maintained properly and can be out for weeks at a time. Lib/Dem councillors and their Tory pals have failed us. The Fortune Green by-election on February 21 gives us a chance to send a message. The best way to do that is to elect Tulip Siddiq as our Labour councillor.
Enough is enough, it’s time Labour got back.
Carol Thomas
District Management Committee Representative
Sidings Tenants and Residents Association
