Unbeaten Cumberland net victory

PLAYERS from Cumberland Netball Club were jumping for joy on Saturday when they sealed a narrow 39-33 goal victory over Academy to continue their unbeaten run in the POLY League.
The Camden-based side were determined to beat their title rivals and assert their position at the top of the table. After a tentative start the teams were neck and neck at both quarter and half- time, with Cumberland just on top with only a one goal lead going into the third quarter.
Inspired by player of the match Krista Priscott, Cumberland’s strong defence and fast accurate passing proved the difference as they edged in front to seal a narrow six-goal victory.
