Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 24 January 2008

Carreras

• I AM hoping to contact anyone who might have participated in the Camden History Society’s Millennium Oral History project about people working at the Carreras, Craven A cigarette factory in Camden.
My grandfather worked there between the wars, probably until the 1950s, when he retired. I am anxious to find anyone who may remember him or of him. I never knew him and I would love to hear any recollections that anyone might have about him. His name was William Francis Read. He had remarried by this time and his wife’s name was Florence.
