Camden New Journal - Letters to the Editor
Published: 10 January 2008

It’s snow joke for the blind

• OUT at 9am this morning I saw that Camden Council had anticipated snow.
But the only gritting was on the studs at kerb edges and zebra crossings.
This demonstrates how dangerous these areas are.
Sloping downwards into roads they must be a problem for blind or partially sighted people.
They nearly all cross right over the pavement ending at a shop front or a wall. Blind people managed for years with a white stick and a kerb to feel for. All studs should be dug up.
